Arizona Vacation

Change is good and so is rest, so we flew to Phoenix, Arizona and spent nine days with my sister and brother in law, Margie and Scott. They live in Varrado, in Buckeye, in a beautiful two story home with an attached  mother- in- law cicada. We live in Louisiana in a Ranch style home with a guest Bunk house that's located on our land.  This time of year in the south its hot and humid with a lot of rain, thunderstorms, and tornados.  They don't have humidity but the heat is already in the high 90's and 100 degrees , with cool nights. We have thousands of trees and they have thousands of cactus...
Get the picture yet? We are alike but oh so different. I love the desert and the mountains when we go there and my sister loves the green trees and storms here. We have been to Arizona many times and in the past we have been to the Grand Canyon, Phoenix, and Sedona. This trip we decided for day trips and visited so many great places.

Tonto National Forest and Canyon Lake Vista

Wupaki National Monument

We had so much fun and took so many photos that I just couldn't post them all. So many beautiful places. I love the desert and all the cactus blooming and watching the doves in my sisters backyard sitting around the pool. We had  brunch on Top of the Rock in Tempe, Az.  one day and lunch in Buckeye with one of my husbands second cousins, Harry.
Went antiquing at The Brass Armadillo.  Did Rock painting with my sister and hiding them all over Verrado for a club she's in.
Nighttime games of dominos and lots of great food all week. The nine days went by so fast. Thanks again sis for sharing another vacation with us....until next time.... and for enjoying the same things we do....
