Hubby brought in two large plastic bags of peaches that someone had given him at work this past Thursday. We didn't get one single peach off our own five peach trees because the Deer got to them first, so I welcomed the fresh fruit.
I love fresh fruit! After peeling, washing and slicing I made a simple syrup of 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cold water which I poured over the peaches and then divided into four gallon freezer bags. Those peaches were so pretty with a golden yellow and red center and sweet as honey….
So easy, so pretty in color, so good for you , and so happy to store away in our freezer for a special baking day.
