I’m NOT old

I’m not old! I’m just in a different age group. I entered a 5k this morning for  the Spring Spectacular .  My results came under… age 55 and OVER. What's with that? Why not a group 55 to 60 and 61 to 75? I didn't see anyone passing me coming or going with walkers. I saw plenty of young people in their teens, twenty's, early thirty’s. As I passed the mile markers, the cheer groups would chant, “Way to go”, “you can do it”, and “your almost there.” Makes me wonder if when the younger people passed, the cheering would have been,” Don't let that old lady pass you”, “your grandma is on your heels”, and “are you running from the law?”
I could not have done this a year ago! I don't feel my age. I hope I can always keep up with the young ones! I ended up coming in second in my age group…55 and OVER.
