San Antonio Bound

What an amazing trip and tour with a sister church in our parish. We traveled by church vans to Longview and then caught the Amtrak Train going to San Antonio,Texas. We arrived twelve hours later where we were booked at the Downtown  TownePlace Suites. Walking distance to almost everything near the RiverWalk. Our Tour Guide out did himself keeping us busy the whole next day from after breakfast until 10:30 that night.
The Alamo and Museum, 4D Texas Ranger Movie and Museum, 3D Imax Theater, Lunch at The Buckhorn Saloon, Shopping at the RiverWalk Mall,  Mexican Dinner on the River and River Christmas light cruise, and topped with being on top of The American Towers and its amazing views.
Traveling back home on the Train was a time to rest and visit with the new friends we made on this trip. Beautiful Sunset from the Train just seemed to put the icing on the cake, so to speak. As many times in my life as I have passed through San Antonio, I didn't realize the history and beauty of this Texas Town. So glad I got to enjoy it with this group and look forward to many more trips. God really blessed each of us on that trip.
