A Blessing to see out in no where....

cross My husband and I have had the pleasure to visit Groom ,Texas and the journey of Christ  through sculpture. It is so breathtaking to first see the huge cross as far as twenty miles away and driving up to see this quite, peaceful area in the middle of no where. The bronze sculptures of Jesus' journey to the Cross are huge and so life like. You can see the pain that the Lord went through as he had to carry his own cross, was beaten, nailed to the cross, and then died.nail As you  walk in the circle and take the steps with Jesus, the world seems to stop turning. There is a calm and peaceful feeling that comes over you. You don't seem to notice the other visitors, or the cars way in the distance going down the road.died
Not far from where I live is a town called Haughton, where a church there put a cross up in the last couple of years. It too can be seen from far away as you drive down the interstate. It stands high above a church there, but it is not the same as the one in Groom, Texas.
tumb  If you are ever out that way heading towards Amarillo, stop at the cross and take Jesus' journey, see what he went through when he died for each of us. Easter is a week away. Take the time to thank God for going to the cross for all our sins.

  4. Great pictures. I hope to see this during our travels in the future. Very spiritual. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank GOD for dying on the cross for all my sins. HE IS AND ALWYS WILL BE MY GOD!

    1. As many times as James and I have been there now, we always get a blessing. There is no other place like this.
