"Made My Way !"
These candies tell a story~
the best news you'll ever hear.
~It's about Jesus dying on the cross
so that we could be brought near.
So hold them and turn them and you will see...
the "M" become a "W" and an "E" and then a "3"
The "E" stands for... Easter...
God's everlasting love and his eternal plan.
It reminds us of the cross 
and the way God rescued sinful man
The "3" represent the 3 days Jesus spent in the grave...
By his death, His children He did save
The "M" reminds us of the mercy the Messiah showed
as he died in our place.
and the miracle of the resurrection
so we can see Him face to face.
The "W" reminds us...that He alone
is worthy of our worship and praise
and calls us to be His witnesses
around the world for all of our days.

My granddaughter and I made these for Sunday school.  It's a wonderful message to share on Easter.

Colorful Deviled Eggs


My version 
 

Orange Julius copycat recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 to 12 ice cubes

DIRECTIONS


  • In a blender, combine the orange juice, milk, water, sugar and vanilla. Cover and blend until smooth. With blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, through the opening in lid. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Yield: 4-5 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1 cup equals 156 calories, 2 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 8 mg cholesterol, 31 mg sodium, 32 g carb, trace fiber, 3 g protein. 

Taco Stuffed Shells
 
6 oz browned 5% ground beef
1/2 pkg. Taco seasoning 
4 T  lite cream cheese 
Taco sauce
2/8 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
3 Servings (18 Jumbo Pasta shells

* I would rate this version a 8.5 Needs to try Turkey and maybe Rotel for seasoning next time. Calories for 4 stuffed shells is 384

Chicken Tortilla Bake
 Repeat layers and top with the rest of the tortilla strips. Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes and Top with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts, then it looks like this
6 Oz. cooked skinless Chicken Breasts
1 can Cream of Chicken low salt
1/2  small can Rotel and Chili sauce
2/4 c low fat grated cheese
makes 4 servings at 127 calories each
 
 
Lucky Charm Snack Mix
 

What you need:
Lucky Charms
Green M&M's
Peanuts
Pretzels
White Melting Chocolate
Green Sugar Sprinkles (optional)
How to:
Take your Lucky Charms (about 6 cups)
and separate out the Marshies!
Take the cereal WITHOUT marshies add pretzels, peanuts and well..whatever you want, then spread it out on a rimmed baking sheet or pour into bowl to get ready to mix with the chocolate. Melt some white chocolate and pour over and mix well. Next add the magically delicious MARSHIES and some GREEN M&M's. Next add the magically delicious MARSHIES and some GREEN M&M's. I  had some green sugarsprinkles and tiny shamrock sprinkles that I added.
My version
6 cups Lucky Charms before separating Marshmallows. 1.25 cup Green Mint M&M's. 40 Mini Snyders Pretzels. 1/2 package White Melting Chocolate. 1/2 can mixed nuts.    Makes 16 snack baggies at 271 calories each.               




Apple Cinnamon Chimichangas

spoon apple filling in center of Tortilla and fold like a burrito. Fry golden brown and roll in Cinnamon and sugar

 
1/2 can light Apple pie filling
Cinnamon
Sugar
Olive oil
Small Flour Tortillas
Makes 8 at 100 Calories each
 



St Patrick’s Day Green Koolaid ice cubes with Sprite. 

 

To make your own, just mix up a packet of green Koolaid and pour it into an ice cube tray.  Allow them to freeze until hard.  Place a handful of cubes into a clear glass and pour Sprite over them.  


 



7UP Biscuits
 
2 c Bisquick mix
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c 7up
1/4 c melted butter
Preheat oven to 450º
Cut sour cream into your Bisquick mix, then add 7up - it will make a soft dough. Now sprinkle your counter with a little Bisquick mix then add dough and pat it out.
Melt butter and pour it into a 9" square baking pan. Cut your biscuits up and arrange them in pan on top of melted butter.
Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
My Version
2 c Healthy Smart Bisquick mix
1/2 c light sour cream
1/2 c 7up
1/4 c melted low fat butter
Makes 12 Biscuits at 100 Calories each




Weekend Brunch Casserole 

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pound Sausage 
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation 

    • Preheat oven to 425 °F. Crumble and cook sausage in medium skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain.
    • Line bottom of greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish with crescent roll dough, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Sprinkle with sausage and cheese.
    • Combine remaining ingredients in medium bowl until blended; pour over sausage.
    • Bake 15 minutes or until set. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares; serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers.
My Version
  • 4-ounce can reduced fat crescent dinner rolls
  • 2 cups Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage crumbles 
  • 2/8 cup low fat shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 egg Beaters beaten
  • 1 T. low fat milk
  • Serves 4 and only 127 Calories a serving
