Another Beautiful Vacation with my Sis

This past week we flew to Arizona to spend vacation with my sister Margie and her husband Scott. They have a beautiful, brand new home, in Buckeyes Verrado area. The four of us planned a visit to Tombstone and the BootHill Grave Yard on the day after we arrived. The grave yard was really interesting and right up my alley as a find a grave volunteer. There are 250 graves in the cemetery. Buried there are outlaws and their victims, suicides, Indians, and hangings. The true crucifixion thorn grows among the graves as well as some of the beautiful flowers of different cactus.

The next day we made our way to the beautiful mountains in the town of Sedona. We had been there before when we went to the Grand Canyon but this time we all took the Red Rock Jeep Tour. That was so much fun despite the cool weather. The jeep took us 2000 feet up and we were gone about an hour and a half. The scenery was breath taking and well worth the bumpy ride up the mountain.
While relaxing at my sisters house we walked, took several bike rides, and attended a friends BBQ.
We saw a Hummingbird sitting on a nest in their front yard and a family of Quail with their newborn in the back yard.
The flowers are beautiful in Arizona and it was nice to not have the humid temps we have in Louisiana.
The week went by so fast but we had a wonderful time. My sister and I have been on so many vacations together and I'm sure we will share many more...

  3. Thank you both for taking the time to come to Arizona to visit us. We seem to always enjoy our visits together. I never thought I would enjoy a jeep ride in the mountains or a shoot-out at Tombstone, but sharing it with the 2 of you made it enjoyable. By the way, my bruises from falling off the bike 2 separate times have healed..lol...Scott & hope you will come visit again in the near future.
