Has it really been 37 years

Has it been that long ago that I held you in my arms and examined every inch, every wrinkle, every toe and finger, only to find that one small tare on your cheek. Has it been that long ago that I held you in my arms and told you it would be OK after you fell and hurt yourself. Has is been that long ago that I held you in my arms and reassured you that life would get better. Has it been that long ago that I held you in my arms just to tell you how much I love you and am so proud of how you turned out.
Has it really been thirty seven years? It seems like yesterday.
I have watched your whole life going by and see your beauty, your kind heart, and the christian women  you have become. Your a wonderful mother who's patient and loving. You are and always will be my precious daughter.
Happy Birthday to my first born
Love,
Mom

  4. I think we all are struggling to balance "I can't WAIT till they're out of carseats!" with "where did the years go?" It sounds like you did a smashing job...cheers to parenthood!

  9. My son turned 9 yesterday and I am having those exact same feelings. Mom's just have feelings for their kids that never ever go away and never ever dim. We carry them with us everywhere we go, near the heart but close to the surface. It is the greatest love on earth.
