Imagine God with his paint brush

Reds, Oranges, Browns, Yellow, and Green. There everywhere you look as you go down the road. I get almost hypmatized by the beauty of the trees as they are turning into master pieces that God is painting. I love this time of year!
As summer ends and autumn comes, the days get shorter and shorter. This is how the trees "know" to begin getting ready for winter.
During winter, there is not enough light or water for photosynthesis. The trees will rest, and live off the food they stored during the summer. They begin to shut down their food-making factories. As the bright green fades away, we begin to see yellow and orange colors.
The bright reds and purples we see in leaves are made mostly in the fall. In some trees, like maples, glucose is trapped in the leaves after photosynthesis stops. Sunlight and the cool nights of autumn cause the leaves turn this glucose into a red color. The brown color of trees like oaks is made from wastes left in the leaves.
It is the combination of all these things that make the beautiful fall foliage colors we enjoy each year.
That was the scientific reason.
In the Bible, Solomon talks about the seasons changing which is found in Ecclesiastes.
I like to imagine God with his paint brush, painting the beauty of the trees in all his glory for us to see... He shows me that life is a masterpiece and we put the brush strokes on our journey thru life. Its up to us what colors we choose...and how we paint our life's story... discovering more and more colors and adventures. There's so much to see, so much to do! And I will never get tired of looking at them...

  1. Betty, what a lovely post you have written. I love the fall colors so much. Fall is just so beautiful and it is so homey. You photographs are just gorgeous.

I can't find your email (I am sure that it is here somewhere!) I wanted to get back to you directly about the CeraVe lotion that I recommended to you on my blog. My husband's dermatologist recommended he use it for some sun damaged skin he was treating. It worked amazing. I use the moisturizing cream regularly on my face and everywhere. They also have a body wash that we use in the shower. It has a type of lipid in it that is similar to the oils we have in our own skin so it is not harsh at all, very mild and soothing. I believe these products will be just the ticket for you.

We have used the moisturizing cream (which I love) and the moisturizing lotion as well as the hydrating cleanser (body wash.

They also have an am and pm moisturizer to repair damaged skin that you might want to try.

Most major drug stores carry it such as walgreens, target, walmart, kmart, cvs pharmacy, rite aid, etc. Plus Amazon has the full line too.

Just so you know, it is a little on the expensive side. I think I pay 12.00 at Rite Aid for the hydrating cleanser and 20.00 for the moiturizing cream in a jar. The cream lasts a long time but the cleanser goes fast. I find that it is worth every penny and I believe you will have very good results.

I hope this information is helpful to you and that it works. I believe you will be extremely satisfied with the outcome after using these products for a very short period of time.

Let me know how this works for you, I look forward to hearing from you. I am keeping you in my prayers. Jana
