I looked for you today

2011
Dear Mom,
I looked for you today to tell you something...
I found you while I walked this morning, as I looked over my shoulder and you hurried to catch up with me so I wouldn't walk alone . I found you as I shut my eyes and in-visioned your smile and the sweet smell of your perfume. I found you as I was cooking dinner and you were reminding me of your favorite recipe. I found you as I opened a dresser drawer and saw the purple flowered printed pajamas you wore last.
I looked for you today to tell you something ....
I found you early in the morning, as I dressed for Church. You were staring back at me from the image in my mirror. You sat beside me on the pew as I listened to the service. You joined in the laughter and the hugs as your great granddaughter played. I look over at the couch in the living room and I can still see your head bob as you fight the sleep while we watch a movie.
I looked for you today to tell you something...
I found you laying peacefully in the green grass as the birds sang and the butterfly's danced in the air above you. I found you  listening to me as I talked ,watching over me as my tears hit the ground. I found you  lovingly and patiently waiting at a gate for your family to come home. Your smile so big and your arms ready to embrace us.
I looked for you today to tell you something...
To tell you how much I love you and miss you, not only on this day, but everyday, every second that goes by.
Happy Mothers Day, Mom.
Love Forever and Always,
Your daughter,
Betty Ann

Betty, this was a wonderful way to give tribute to your Mother. She is a beautiful lady. I'm sure she's looking down from heaven with a big smile on her face.

    God Bless you always.
