I see you

Sitting across the waiting room filled with so many people, I look over and see you in a deep conversation with the person next to you. Your hair is salt and pepper and there are tiny wrinkles that line your eyes as you laugh. A much thinner person sits in the chair and I can tell from the body language that the stiffness in your bones is bothering you. I see the sparkle in your eyes still when you glance across the room, thou they are behind the glass you now wear to see. Your hearing is not as clear as it once was and your voice is soft and low.
Sitting across the waiting room filled with so many people, I look over and see a kind and gentle heart. I see compassion and love as you listen. I see a person with patience and strength and knowledge. I see someone who's hands show the work of many  long years.
Sitting across the waiting room filled with so many people, I can still see the person I married in my youth. I still see the person I fell in love with so many years ago. I see the father to our children and the wonderful grandfather you are. I see a hugh heart, strong shoulders, strength, and love. I  can still  the youth of years past.
Sitting across the waiting room filled with so many people, I see the man I love......I see you!
